How to clean Griddle Q

My husband griddled some quesadillas on my Griddle Q grill top for an East (Asian) meets west going away party I did. He totally blackened the whole grill top. Ajax or bon ami will not bring it back to original condition. Any suggestions?

At smashburger they use a grill brick

The best way to clean a griddle is with "grill screen pads" and a Pad
holder, the second best way is with a "grill brick".

Ya we sell a lot of the pads also. There is also a chemical some places use, next time I drop some off I will try and catch the name of it.

On youtube they use just water and a scouring pad on a hot Griddle Q. Just like de-glazing a pan.

Just burn it off in you pit, coat it with oil, bake it and then use it.....
