Spares and beans on the campfire

Anything else in your beans besides the beans? Looks great!
I put hunks of ham or ham hocks, onions, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, a couple bay leaves, a pinch of basil, thyme, oregano (sometimes marjoram) and salt. Think that's all! Thanks Kloogee! :-D

Really nice Jeanie. The relaxed feeling just comes through on your post. Camping is really fun, as long as you don't have to be in a crowded campground (which you don't). Look at the stars, the campfire. It's not all bad! :)
 
Looks delicious. I have been doing my spares that way lately. I really like the crispy, fatty, delicious way that they turn out.
 
Just looking at your posts is very relaxing and enjoyable Jeanie - you are most definitely doing it right! I would love to try doing open pit ribs one day - your ribs, and the whole meal for that matter, look fantastic! :clap2:
