Temp Probe Placement

I had a successful first Boston Butt. However, I wasn't sure about my temp on the meat. I use a Maverick, I think made by Ready Check. My question is where is the best place to put the food probe to get a more accurate reading?

Deep into the center of the meat. Make sure it's not touching the bone. You should check out BigMista's video about cooking butts. He gives the secret to knowing when it's done.

On a butt your best off dead center CLOSE to the bone without touching it. When that horn muscle is done its all good.
