So for all you owners of BGE's out there what do you recommend I cook in it first?

OH MY!!!! Congrats!
I would say do a couple of low cooks before you crank it up for pizza or steaks or, or, or... the possibilities are endless!

I was instructed by our awesome brethren eggers to do several low and slow cooks to......set the gasket....before moving on to searing steaks and baking pizzas.

Congrats on being an egghead.

Cool Diva,I just scored a large today myself.I was to dark when she landed home to take pictures.
 
First cook, should be, if it was me, Bbacks and a fattie. But thats Me. CONGRATS EGGHEAD :-D
 
That's the biggest pair of long-nosed Vice-Grips I've ever seen!
