So I follow Moose's Roadside Chicken Recipe EXCEPT I was too lazy to find the white sugar, and went for turbinado sugar instead.

Griller pack from Stater Brothers: 2 1/2 breasts and 2 quarters, washed, dried, sparkled with Seasoned Salt and Pepper:

Let it sit an hour while I fired up "Old Leaky" - a Char-Broil Charcoal Grill that doubles as a smoker.

Pop the chicken on:

Mrs SJ nearly passed out from the taste! This is a keeper in my house!

Thank you Moose!

Looks great and it reminded me of how good it turned out when I followed Mooses' recipe.

I need to do this again soon!

Yup, that recipe's a winner and you did it proud!

I've had good luck cooking it on the UDS like a direct grill. :thumb:

Let's see this recipe

Complete thread here

Recipe for marinade/baste:

1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup veg or olive oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 TBS Sea or Kosher salt
1 TBS white sugar (I used turbinado sugar)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp celery seed

I love this recipe!!! I do this once a month. Thanks moose for sharing this winner!!

Edit: there was someone who posted a video on an old thread with this cook that could help people wanting to try this killer recipe.

I started making this years ago on my WSM from a very similar recipe on the Weber Bullet Forum and now make it on my Big Green Egg. It is outstanding and the skin is the best part. Great job!
