We will do a couple of events. We will do the Anheuser-Busch contest and maybe Hudson Valley Rib Fest. Sure wish Podunk wasn't cancelled.

Me too. I always enjoyed that contest. There will be a CT contest run by the same people that ran podunk. It's called bikes bands and bbq and it's sponsored by a Harley Davidson dealer. I think the contest in going to be at the dealership somewhere in Hartford.

Don't forget the Grillin On The Bay contest in Brooklyn is a NEBS Event and will count towards NEBS team of the year!

Will the long rumored Moehgan Sun contest be considered a NEBS event?

I want to do Lowell, Harpoon and Highland. Pooh - you listening?

Wish I could do Brooklyn, but I'll be busy that day.

As long as it's just a rumor it won't. You would think they'd have all their ducks in a row by now.
 
Rob Richter told me that Big Island is cooking Snowshoe, and I imagine he'll hit a couple others....including Brooklyn. Team of the year should be a fight....so many good times popping up all the time.

Do rumours count towards toty?

we just droped a note to fitz for Harpoon. We'll be there. Maybe Hudson Valley.
 
Aside from Grill Kings on LI on 7/15-16, I originally thought about Hudson Valley Ribfest, since it's close but heard half good/half bad reviews of that one. New Holland, PA is the following week and that one seems to get better reviews and it fits our schedule better. It's not 100% yet, but New Holland looks like what we are shooting for and should know for sure in the next week or two.

I wanted Harpoon but am not prepared to do back to back contests yet especially since Grill Kings will be our first the week prior. Guitarbeque is the week prior to Grill Kings, so for the same reason, I had to exclude that one. I'd still like to go to Harpoon for the day and hang out.

I see the Bikes, Bands BBQ cotest in listed as 6/25... that might have been an option but that also seems like the potential weekend for the Mega Bash at Phil's place, which I don't want to miss.

hey guys the asbury park comp is the 8th and 9th of july. and the bristol comp is now a sanctioned comp. it was not last year. if your thinking of going they only have 25 spots. i called last night and got in they would not say how many spots left.:icon_smil im doing some pork for the weekend heading to the poconos to fall down the hills:biggrin: . have a good one butt head
