A while back, I scored a "grill dome" cooker/smoker. Finally able to get my hands on it when a buddy delivered it for me last week. I'd like to re-paint the outside as it is pretty bad shape. Wondering, do i need to use special high temp paint or will regular enamel spray paint work? If normal paint will work, I was wondering about some of those newer spray paints that give you metallic finishes. Any thoughts? or ideas? Pic of smoker attached.

I think they recoment 1200 degree paint. Some have mention auto-body paint works great...

Head to their forum and ask... They are a cool bunch of guys.

i've been to grill domes website and personally..i think it's kinda...well....not very well done. I've tried looking for "contact" info and cant seem to find it. the cooker is missing the top metal piece which i've seen on their website but unsure if it's a universal fit for all sizes of their smokers or ??. they also state that the exterior never gets beyond "warm to the touch" which leads me to believe that any good quality enamel paint will do the job.

If anyone has an email addy for them , it would be appreciated.
