Easiest UDS Drum to use for a build?

I'm on UDS overload. I've read so much my head is spinning.

I'm just gonna ask b/c I think I missed this part. Does a new unlined drum still need a major burnout? Or can I just rub some oil and season it?

Burn it out good. It's not gonna have high temp paint on it. So you wanna get barrel hot enough to remove paint. After that rattle can it with high temp paint.

Pretty sure if it is a new unlined drum, even if unpainted, it will have been treated with rust inhibitor and still requires a burn-out.
