Rib-o-lator was shipped on Dec 26th and finally will be here tomorrow. Ordered my GURU adapter for WSM and it shipped today from PA and won't be here till Monday the 7th, but my WSM gasket also shipped today from NY via USPS and will be here Saturday the 5th.

Yes I am being impatient but I want to use my new stuff man

I bet your "Q" wont be any better and your pockets are emptier:p :heh:

They are also notorious for throwing packages as well. They threw my $450.00 Blendtec against my front door.

I've had decent luck with them for the most part. Winter storms can slow them up though.

They are all notorious for it. If you check youtube, you can find videos of fedex, ups, usps, throwing and drop kicking packages. UPS is no worse statistically.

I ship a lot of items, and ups and fedex ground have the exact same travel times (as does 2-day, 3-day, ground select). I do however find that ups is more known for their ground shipping and fedex for air, and therefore fedex ground is a dollar or 2 cheaper than ups ground and ups air is about 2 cheaper than fedex air. I find that postal service is often quicker over long distances (California to chicago, for example). It is the cheapest option if the item is under 3 lbs or so, but once you go over that, fedex ground is the best price.

Not only is it slow, but its record keeping is poor. I'm trying to track two packages. One departed a UPS facility on Dec. 28, the other departed a UPS facility on the 29th. Neither has been heard from since.
What kind of tracking is this?

That's how they do it. It gets scanned at the origin facility, then at the destination facility, then when its delivered. It should say "in transit" or something of that nature. That's how ups and fedex both track packages.

And the reason it takes so long is b/c UPS and fedex both recognize New years eve and new years as holidays, and neither dellivers on saturday unless you pay more. I'm pretty sure they also consider Christmas eve a partial holiday and have no pickup until the 26th.

Yes tracking does suck. I ordered a laptop for Christmas and it was shipped by Fed Ex. It made it to KC and was out for delivery and I never got it. Dell was awesome though and over nighted me another one. Was at my door under 12 hrs from calling them.

You would think someone that has the patience to smoke some bbq would have some patience with waiting for packages hahahahahahaha.
