Competing in Bel Air this weekend. My teammate John got bitten by a Brown Recluse a few days back and appears to be out for the count. He normally cooks the brisket. As a result I'll be cooking my first comp brisket. His wife normally builds our boxes and she'll be out as well. Fun times ahead for me.
 
Best of luck, seems like the beginning to a story that ends with you getting some calls. Sometimes, when everything appears to be going wrong, good things happen.
 
Keith, we're not competing this weekend (I've got a catering for Mr. Bean's office party) and Dean is always chomping at the bit to compete, maybe he can help you...he's coming off a 3rd place brisket finish in Bluemont. Best of luck and best wished for John to get over that brown recluse spider bite, them are nasty little SOBs and quite dangerous if not treated correctly and promptly.
