Entertainment for bbq enthusiast?

I like to eat good Q, but I was wondering if there is entertainment around Dallas/Fortworth area for a bbq enthusiast. I like seeing out, I like music (jazz/bluegrass/blues specifically). I am boring otherwise but my wife is running with her sister and I am looking for some things. Wanted to see a couple 30 or 40 mile radius local builders but haven't made contact yet. Anything else food related would be good too since I like learning and eating!
