I seem to be chasing the temp cooking now

can you help I chasing the temp don't know what to adjust top or bottom on the big green egg doing a Boston butt right now temp is at 220 to 250 trying to dial it in I have put it out once all ready and temp drooped to 150 by accident what vent should i concentrate on
 
I leave the top daisy wheel fully open and use the bottom slide vent. For low and slow it is open no more than the thickness of a nickel.
 
I have been using the daisy wheel on top also, so open that and adjust with the bottom vent
