From a judge's perspective this was a WONDERFUL contest- especially being the "first annual"! Judging was run VERY SMOOTH and was organized quite well. I can't speak for the cookers, but judges were well taken care of!

I'll definitely be back next year!!!

As a cooker, the event was pretty good for first time out. Being setup between two active railroad tracks was not enjoyable, especially during normal sleep time. First event where Krispy Kreme and Starbucks were taking care of cookers....a big thumbs up. I think the judging was a little inconsistent or inexperienced...I received 11-9's and 3-5's. The 5's were each in a different category. I had one judge score my pork perfect 9's and another scored it 6/6/5......head scratching. I agree that I didn't have my best, but far from such a drop. Oh well...next time.

As a judge, the process went very smoothly for a first-year competition! It was very well organized in terms of getting entries to the tables, and I never would have known it was a first-year competition.
