Barrel Question

I think I know the answer to this but wanted a 2nd opinion. I found a guy selling open head barrels $5 on CL. I asked if they had a liner he said no, but I asked him to send me a pic before I drive to get them. Here it is....
Yes, no? If so how hard is it to get it out with a good burn out or with the weed burner?

it is a tan liner not as bad as a red one but still a PIA however for 5 bucs It is cheap enough to get is sand blasted.

$5 is a great price, even if it has a liner. Grab one, have it sandblasted or burn it out, and get to cooking.

I couldn't get liner burned out with weed burner but a good ole wood fire in barrel did the trick.

hmmm.......sorry did a couple with liners....never again!

in Kansas City $30 refurbished and well worth it.

I use a diffuser and no water pan.

I found a water pan created too much moisture and the bark never really developed fully. Bark was soft, not firm.
