Well I fired up the lasted version of the new upright, I added the fire box and I would love to ad some pron but my new computer has windows 8 and it is the worst piece of sh** I have ever used so no pics just yet. Anyway its cold and rainy and I know that plays heck with temps. but I obviously have bigger problems than that. I have no temp. control at all. Its plain to see that my exhaust stack and inlet are to small, the only way I can get any control at all is to have the upper door and the fire box door cracked a little. Close either of them and the temp. drops like a rock so looks like after this cook I got some work to do. Maybe if I don't throw this computer off the deck I will figure out how to load the pics I took.

Happy Saturday farkers

I pulled the electronic probe out of the meat and laid it on the grate the meat was resting on and what I found was both thermometers on the outside of the cooker read 130 to 150 but the probe in the cooker read almost 50 degrees hotter ! So when I thought it was to cold it was really about perfect and when I thought it was perfect it was way to hot !! Oh well first run is a learning experience to say the least

I know of people that put welding blankets over the grills when cold to help with temps

Well the Q was amazing any way !! wish I could show you, stupid windows !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
