Try this recipe with lamb, it's stoooooooooopid good.
I've always heard the real barbacoa is with lamb or goat. I've used this recipe with beef, then tried lamb. Never going back to beef for this.

Greg, no doubt you will find them in your area at Walmart. I can get them down state at Walmart, and last I looked they had a huge selection of different cuts designated as Mexican/Latino. A lot of my friends still head up to Aurora area for Latino specialty items so I'm sure Walmart would probably have similar towards Chicago......Good Luck!

That's what I used. Actually, they removed the bone from the leg but put it back in, which had me scratching my head. This thread is what happened.
