Babbling Farker
tastyness on the cheap, spatchcock chicken in the backyard is mighty good.
Seasoned these here with Plowboy’s YardBird…
I dropped a handful of black walnut shells in the chimney
before adding the charcoal, then lit the crumpled newspaper underneath.
Nature’s fire helpers…..
Speaking of playing with the fires….always have one of these
in good working order nearby….Safety First Farkers!!!!!!
The chicken is on!!!! I’m using a smallish, half a fist sized, piece
of white oak and a handful of pecan shells for the smoke flavoring,
The intakes are set to chicken delight…
One Hour….
Hour and a half….see the fat rendering
and hitting the hot fire… the smell in the backyard
makes the mouth water….
And DANGITALL, makes the neighbors sit up and take notice…
Git!!! Git!!! Git On Outta Here!!!! He listens all too well…..
2 hours and done…..snook some sausages in there
while y’all weren’t looking…..
Sittin' in the Carolina Sunset....
It all made for a wonderful supper, and I'll use the leftovers with inspiration from the local Church Ladies HomeMaker's Guide....:thumb:
Thanks for checking out my stuff…..
