I used my little smokehouse to cold smoke a few things...

I always check the smokestack... the top is covered with screen but I check it anyway.

Got the smokehouse going, then adjusted for a low smoke...

I used pecan and apple wood for flavor....

I cold smoked everything at 65 degrees for about 7 1/2 hours...

the pecans, olives, cheeses, sea flakes, sea salt, p-nuts, a kosher salt/cracked black pepper/onion/garlic blend, and some cashews..

Thanks for looking!

That looks great Jeanie. Just curious -- for the pantry? gifts? If the latter, how does one get on your list?:biggrin:

Looks good Jeanie, is the house cedar?
It looks like the last picture is a before photo did your salt get any darker?
I'm gonna have to try olives like that.

Looks like some Christmas given stuff......smoked pecans mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....and like the cashews too....

Thanks for the kind comments!
Cameraman, I do not have a list but probably should start one. lol Some of this is to restock my stash, some goes to a smoking friend in California.

Thank you Aqua, Bob Guerry and Chris!

Cvan the smoked salt has a brown tint to it, just doesn't show up well in my pictures. My smokehouse does have some cedar.... here is a link with a better pic of it.

Works great for cold smoking my bacons and hams too.

Thank you Phu, Mama, Crue, Dan, Al, Pit Boss and Dean!

Mark, I wish I would have done that a long time ago. My friends know they can get the stuff from me anytime of the year. The presents wouldn't be special enough now. lol  Thanks!

Thank you MB!!

if that is your "little smokehouse on the prairie", then I can't even imagine your big one! Nice job as always. :)
