I finally got around to grinding my own burger meat after seeing some amazing burgers cooked on this site. Got a couple choice chuck roasts from the local market, and got some help from my eager 8 year old. Made a copycat In N Out spread for the burger, toasted some brioche buns, and topped the burger with shredded lettuce, avocado, grilled onions, tomato, thick cut bacon and cheddar cheese. Everything cooked on my firebox griddle top. It was the best burger I've ever made by far. No more buying ground beef for me.

The burger was in the next county over but it looks great when I found it!

Heck yeah! Burger looks insane.

Store bought ground meat free since 2013.:becky:

Nice burger Robert! I too no longer use the pre-ground beef. I don't have a grinder but the meat department at my local grocer will do it free upon request
