Just bought some apple chunks and was planning on mixing it with some cherry chunks to cook some chicken in my small offset. Any suggestions on a ratio. I've never used apple wood before. I used some of the cherry chunks last week with pecan and it turned out great. Now I wanna try the apple wood.

I usually do a half and half mixture with good results.

If you still have pecan, equal parts of all 3 woods is the holy trinity for me. I use that combo more than anything else. The smell that comes from the cooker is heavenly.

I always like to try to burn the cherry first, I think it gives a better smoke ring than apple. I usually try to go half and half, but position it where the cherry wood will burn first.

Thanks for the replies. I just recently started using lump and chunks in my small offset and I'm loving the results. Been reading about it on here for awhile and decided it was time to dive in.
