Looks like it could be missing the damper top and the plug for the bottom draft as well. One question for the seller would be if the internal parts (firebox & firering in particular) are missing or inside and cracked/broken. If they're cracked or even in a few pieces they can be repaired. If they're completely missing I'd say pass on this and watch for others to pop up that include the internal parts.

As for identifying this kamado, the design on the imprint on the dome looks unusual. Usually they just have the japanese characters. You might check out the scans of old kamado manuals at the Naked Whiz's site here to determine the make. Maybe a Sakura is what I'm thinking.
