Wood: What do you pay?

I would like some Mesquite , kind of hard to find in the PNW , I have plenty of oak , all free

In Houston I pay $10 a bag (50#) for regular red oak or $15 a bag for heart wood....

$140 for a full cord delivered if mixed hardwood, $180 for a full cord for hickory or pecan only.

I burn 4-5 cords of firewood/yr., so I pick cherry for smoking from that. Firewood cost ranges from free (via my chainsaw and pickup) to $200/cord (seasoned/split/delivered).

This year I'll begin to experiment using different wood (oak, cherry, maple, ash) for fuel in the stickburner.
