I was at our local ‘Mega-Mart’ yesterday and of course I had to walk down the meat section when what did my eyes see…. A Ribeye Roast for only $6.99/pound. Around here it’s tough to find one at $8.50 a pound and the average Ribeye Steak runs about $12-$13 a piece!

So I figured I’d cut the roast up and ended up with 8 steaks!

Here they are, all packaged and ready to go into the freezer and at an average price of $5.38 each, just waiting for me to fire up the grill….

Gotta love 'em. I scored 4 big NY strips at Kroget a couple weeks ago and saved $10.
Cooked one that evening and froze the other 3.

I recently found a rib eye in the bottom of the freezer that I vac'ed and froze so long ago I'm too embarassed to say. Thawed it out, cooked it and it was like it had been frozen last week.

I just got my new FoodSaver, I've had one for years but it only takes the small rolls. This one does it all.

Great score, send me one. Steak that is.:becky:
