My neighbor borrowed my old maverick OT-3 fell asleep and through some horrible fire control burned it up in his Weber. So I was a little miffed, but today I got a box from Amazon with a nice shiny new Maverick ET-732 with a nice Meathead magnetic meat temperature guide. Score! I guess being nice pays off.
 
They say "never a borrower or lender be", and this is why. Now he's purchased one, yet still doesn't have one. Glad he made good on it for you, though.
