The prizes for the Viejas Smokin in the Park contest have been announced!

Smokin in the Park - $20,000 in Prize Money!
CBBQA Sanction and KCBS Rules and Reps
Grand Champion $7,500.
Reserve Champion $5,000,
1st $875, 2nd $500, 3rd $250, 4th $150 and 5th $100 in each category Trophy's up to 5th place.

This will be one of the biggest contests in California this year! All of the bigboys will be there so this is your chance to prove your mettle!

Monster contest for prize money in CA, or just about anywhere except the big 4 I think! $7500 GC will let you do a lot more contests!
 
I am not in, but some day I'd love to make the drive for Viejas.

We're up to 26 teams and growing in this one. Definitely gonna be the biggest one in Cali!
 
I am trying to talk the girl friend into going out there and getting a hotel room so we can check it out and meet some Brethren. She is still himmming and hawwwing over it.
 
tell her there is great shopping right there, a casino, and the weather will be perfect.

I think you guys just secured the trip for me. Great shopping and a Casino I don't think she will be able to pass it up.
 
That's incredible! That kind of payout with only twenty-some teams??? I like the odds, guys! I'm shocked it hasn't drawn some famous KCBS teams. Just curious... what's the entry fee? Hope one of the Brethren win it!!!
