When using any driving directions or map, it's a good idea to do a reality check and make sure the road still exists, watch out for construction, and follow all traffic safety precautions. This is only to be used as an aid in planning.

Thats not so bad!

I was seriously considering this one but the no campers rule made me drop it. Still looks like a good event though, nice location, decent prize $$.

The Anchormen will be in York, Maine.

Hey Ted I was told by Vito last night you can bring your trailer as long is it fits on your space. The no Camper rule is for having a camper or RV seperate from your cooking site. There is limited parking and they don't want to fill the parking area with RV's. So I guess I'll see you in Maine right ?

I heard that....it looks like we will be there.

But for the record: This below is from the Maine cook's packet. I seriously hope Vito double checks this with the organizers because I do not want to get up there and be turned around at the gate. Sounds like they really don't want campers....no mention of saving parking lots either.

campers and trailers:
NO CAMPERS OR TRAILERS ALLOWED, DUE TO LACK OF DISPOSAL FACILITIES. Campsites are available around the event location at other campgrounds. Contact us for more information.

no camping trailers or motor homes allowed:
Camping trailers and motor homes are not allowed on the festival grounds
or in the parking lot. Registered competitors will receive a packet containing helpful area information, including a list of local hotels and campgrounds.

Since Vito is working very closely with the organizer I'm pretty sure your all set Ted. Your one of those nervous types huh ?

Not normally but that's pretty strong language in the packet.

This comp. is still looking for teams. Its a state championship with some great prize money! The organizer just waved the late fees for the next 10 teams.

Mike

So who else is going to this one ?
'
Gosh, that was pretty poor planning on my part... I could of stayed out there for another week eating lobstah? Never did get any Vermont Syrup... All of my travel times, nothing was ever open.. So if anyone wants to bring me some to the Royal or the Jack... Would be willing to trade for some Italian Beefs...

Scott, PM me your address and I'll send some Maple Syrup your way. Thanks for coming to Vermont.

How are people dealing with lobsters for Sunday? Is a live lobster in a cooler going to be ok for 36 hours?

I would plan on buying them locally. Maybe we could have a designated lobster picker upper ? I'd be willing to go in with other teams and preorder one day this week. I called a local place in York today and they are 5.99 for chicks, 6.99 for pound and a quaters and 7.99 for anything over 1 1/2 pounds. These are softshell prices.

Steve I am in for that. Will tell you how many on Thursday.
Thanks Ray:smile:
