Since you posted this in the "Competition" section of this site I assume that you are referring to flavor profile for KCBS competitions in Virginia. Basically, it is the same as PA, NC, TN, or basically just about any other place around the area. Slightly sweet with a little spice is a good bet basically ANYWHERE. I've judged comps throughout the Southeast (VA to FL), as well as Arizona, Ohio, and KC - and basically ALL areas are similar in flavor profile IMHO.
Now if you were referring to restaurants in the VA area, then that might be a bit different.
