Gorgeous weekend--a bit chilly in the 70's but we all survived
Great to see all the SE teams, and some "Heavy Hitters" from up North, enjoying the brisk Fl Weather .
The crowds were totally amazing-- barely room to walk--vendors were exhausted and sold out by mid afternoon on Sat with mega-tons of ribs and stuff sold! I know Jimmy (Smokin' Cracker) and Mike (WoodHouse) were just looking for a place to crash
The BackYard and Kid's Que were bigger than many sanctioned events.
A team (sorry about not remembering the name) in Backyard scored 180 on Brisket! And the "thrown out low score" was.....9-9-9  Fantastic job by them and a rarity! They have a "perfect 180" pin to go with their GC and 1st in Brisket awards. Too kewl!!!
I had the pleasure of eating/judging a lot of "very good" BBQ, some "excellent" BBQ, and some "WTF" BBQ, but very little of the WTF variety for once  The quality was mostly good or better and a real pleasure to judge.
Spent time with Brother JohnMc***. Great individual with a nice family. He will be cooking with us in 2 weeks at Winter Haven. I think he is almost ready to go to "the Dark Side" of BBQ
This is one to put on the calendar if you are in the area.
