Kevin (HOMEBBQ) is back in the saddle
Congrats Kevin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, great job by Tim--Cosmic Cookin' !!

Too bad the event was the site of the loss of Kooter Brown on Fri
May he cook in peace.
His team, Kick the Tire, Light the Fire, did "cook on" to take a 10th overall.
Great job--he appreciates that, I am sure!

TIM

Kevin, congratulations!!

Tim - looks like you had a pretty good outing, too. The level of competition just keeps getting tougher!! :D

Thanks guys.. It was a bitter sweet weekend.. Very happy about the win, and very sad about the loss of a friend.

After hearing about Kooter I went to the FBA site and looked at some of the video clips. Here's one from Lake Alfred, earlier this year. Right near the end the end of the clip is a shot of Kooter coming down the aisle, shirt off, doing his victory dance - not pretty, but pure Kooter! :D

If we can't win anything it's always good to see Bridget's step-dad do well. It's about bloody time!

It was a tough weekend with the loss of Kooter and even a tougher day today tellin' our folks what happened. They all knew Kooter and they took it as a loss of a son. He took special care of them when ever they came to a contest.

Most that knew Kooter have an overwhelming feeling of loss right now and it will linger, but I suggest that everybody honor him by doin' what we did this weekend. Get out there and have fun and cook the best damn BBQ you can and always remember, without the fun, it can't be BBQ!
