Saw some cheap tri tip at the store today, so I decided to do a quick cook tonight for just me and the boys.
First I rubbed it down:
Then I smoked it at about 240.
On the WSM:
It actually got away from me a little and I cooked it longer than I wanted. Here's it at 140 when I pulled it off:
Then to the Genesis for a quick reverse sear. Thank you GrillGrates!
Final temp was 145, a bit more done than I like it, but it was still tender and juicy. The boys couldn't get enough. Kept it very simple with steamed broccoli and left-over slider bun as a dinner roll.
