FBA Triple Crown--Invitational and Open this year!

It is that time of year again.

The FBA will have our annual "Triple Crown" Invitational at Perry, FL. with a new "twist" this year.
There is an "Open" contest being held simultaneously.

The Invitational has about 30 teams who qualified over the year in FL, GA, and AL.

Take a peak and you will see $20 K to be split among about 30 teams.
How cool is that?

The "Open" is like others--Pay to play.
The payouts are quite good--more in line with a normal FBA contest.
I have no idea how many teams will do just the Open, but I am hearing that the attendance will be good.

Many of us in the Invite are doing both contests--at the same time!
Some Invitational teams will focus on just the Invite--I understand that and would do the same if we did not have 3 of us available on Sat.
Brent, Mrs Kapn, and I will try to get all 8 entries done and in on time.

Gonna be fun!

Doing both myself, it will be a challenge but sounds like fun.
Also breaking in a new pit for the open entries....
Plus I think they both will be qualifiers, as an added little bonus.

Gonna be a little weird competin' agin' ya. Obviously I'm not in your class yet but maybe next year I'll find that groove.

Got an email from Ricky yesterday saying that they still needed some judges but they were looking at having the open count towards next year's TC. Hope so.

Can't wait to see you all there! As soon as I get set up I'll be sure to come visit Sherman!

Just found out yesterday that I somehow snuck in the Invitational...I was already entered in the Open so I guess we will attempt both. I've been looking forward to this contest all year! Good Luck to everyone - see you all Thursday morning. BTW- my contribution to the Friday night dinner will be what I call "DOINK" balls (Deer and pork pan sausage balls wrapped in maple bacon).
