Another definition for cold smoke

Was hoping to get a couple butts done today for the company Christmas party on Friday and the lid to my grill frozen shut. ****. I guess temps like this would do that.

More than once I've had to light a fire to thaw out the vents but I have not had the lid freeze in place yet.

Yesterday I just melted the snow around the cooker.

Ended up peeling the cover off and letting the sun hit it for a while. Didn't think a torch and ceramic in this temp would be a good combination. About noon she uncorked. Going for the hot and fast method tonight to wrap this puppy up.
