long time lurker new smoker

Long time lurker, first post. So I purchased a brinkmann trailmaster recently and while it has some leaks that i plan to seal up with silicone. Just a few pics and sorry only cooked food that made it was a little brisket. I finished everything with some homemade sauce.

Food Looks Good!
I started to get one but decided to try and mod a propane cabinet style to charcoal- from what I've seen once guys get them sealed with silicone ( including end caps on smoker chamber) and add additional latches in corners of the smoke chamber door they really like them. Probally the best of the COS because it's vertical. :thumb:

I thought hard about getting one of those and about the only thing that kept me from doing it was the desire for slide-out racks and eventually wanting a rig that would really last a long while.

With the mods that Smitty describes above, it should would out pretty nicely!
 
I like it, but yes it needs some modifications. You need to seal some spots to stop leaks. The door needs some work, and yeah it would've been great if the grates could slide in and out. Also making a firebox to help it last longer. Its very good for the price.
