Today was a big day in my house today! It was a day that will live in infamy! I bought my Big A$$ Barrel Smoker (BABS) last week and have spent some time cleaning her up. I did a test burn just to understand how it works on Friday. Today I was able to throw some food on the grates.

1/4 chickens that were brined and then dipped in a Monroe County BBQ dip

Not too shabby!! I like the BABS. You should post a thread giving us the grand tour.

And just for chits and grins, don't be smoking with those 2xs that are in your wood pile lol.
 
Haha! Yeah no doubt...the 2xs were jut to keep the wood pile level...
 
This is not a BABS, it's a propane tank offset smoker.

(Notice the offset fire box in the lower right corner behind the cooking chamber.)
