Hey,
Is anyone in the Sacramento area cooking lots of food for Thanksgiving? Like for a charity or something similar?
If so, what are you cooking? I have two reasons that I ask. A bunch of Brethren here on Long Island are cooking for a breast cancer charity that we deal with a lot. We're making family meals for women who are in a position currently where they can't cook. I'd like to see if something parallel is happening on the other side of the country and turn it into an article for Smoke Signals.
On a more personal level, I know of a vet in the Sacramento area that is having some hard times. He's a young husband and father of two little boys and was just diagnosed with cancer. If someone in the Sacramento area was doing it anyway and could throw on another turkey, I'd gladly paypal you the $ for it.
