This is exciting! You have inspired me to start to rethink my yard.

Note not to buy cinder blocks from Lowes, they were horrible, not straight at all.

It makes dry-stacking the blocks a lot easier if every one of them were straight and uniform. From the pics it looks like no mortar was used.

Looking good so far!

Thats correct they were dry stacked, saves alot of time. Once the concrete counter is poured all will look leveled.

Great start and I can't wait to see the finished project at the end.

Here is my latest update from today.
Layed the wall by the BBQ pit, filled with cement, cut open a hole at the pizza oven base to install a vent for air flow when wood is being stored. Stucco'ed the exterior side of the cinder blocks so spiders dont get in & installed the forms for the concrete countertop, it will have a 4" overhang lip, i will stain the concrete and polish it as it will be my finished surface. Here are the photos.

First we did the stucco on the insides. Note the open area left for the vent.

Here is the Cast Iron door im using for the BBQ pit, will be used as a air vent & to add coals & wood.

Here is the oven base with the center column, i am thinking about making two columns but spread apart from each other.

We then started on the counter top form. Here what we are doing is drilling holes into the cinder block with a hammer drill, then wedging wood then screwing the wood to the cinder blocks for support.

Mr V-wiz I have some bad news and good news for you. Once you complete this project I am going to kidnap you and bring you to my house to make one for me. That's the bad news.

The good news is you will be offered all the food and beverage you want 😊

Looks amazing so far can not wait to see it done. Great work!

HAHA, thank you, but i cant take the credit for this huge project. My father deserves it all, he is the Master Builder. It helps that he is a general contractor. :biggrin1:

Lucky you, to have such a talented dad who's willing to help you with all of this! Great project, and I'm sure you're gonna love it!! :thumb:

I've been following as well, absolutely no way I could do that at my place, so it's good to see someone else do it and follow along.
