I need to print up some business cards and have an idea for a logo. Here is where I get stuck. The printer says it must be a Jpeg file (I think). Can any of the Brethren point me in the right direction as to maybe who can do one for me or how I can do one myself.

I have a rough drawing of what I want but it needs to be done better (for sure I am no artist) and then made into the file.

Thanks,
Brian in So Cal.

Sorry for the double post. I think I posted this in the wrong place before.

What does it look like? How much help does it need? There are a lot of printers out there that have their own in-house graphic artist that can put something together. I bet if you made nice with Smitty, he could hook you up. I hired Patrick to make mine. Done in just a day. Not sure if you want to put money into a logo though.

Go to Vistaprints.com

I had them do my new ones and you can add a jpeg to their templates or just use their BBQ designs. Do not take forever with this Brian, I want to see them at Vejas!

I use iprint and they do glossy cards cheap. Send me the sketch and I will see what I can do with it.

We also use VistaPrint and really like their cards. Of course, it helps that Steve's daughter is a graphic design professional.

yeah, was going to recommend Vista Print as well.......reasonable priced, and can either custom or use one of their outlines.......

Don't underestimate the value of a good logo, I would recommend http://www.bbqlogos.com/ . Did a great job for our ribfest and many other competitors. Very inexpensive, and very fast. They will provide all the electronic files you need.

Just alittle warning on vista print,, if you pay via check card or credit card, watch your statements closely,, my wife used vista print a few times, and without her knowledge they enrolled her into some kind of plan and was charging her card a monthly fee... So just keep an eye on your monthly statments.

I think you were right the first time, Brian, so I'm going to roll these posts into the first topic.

Thanks for all the help.

My Grandmother that was a 102 died last night so it probably will be at least a week before I can do anything. Need to set up the funeral and tie up some loose ends for her estate.

Brian im sorry for your loss.

Thought and Prayers to grandma and your entire family.

#1 sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.

#2 I used bbqlogos and love it and used Vistaprint for my cards and they are great. So they both get my vote.
