550 fuel tank to smoker

OK, think I understand now. Here is how I would try to fix it. Get a good straight edge and some kind of jack. I would probably use a hydraulic bottle jack cause I have several, but a scissors jack or screw jack would probably work as well. Get the edge that has "sagged" top dead center. On the inside of the tank below the TDC edge put some shoring like 4x4 or 4x6 etc. to distribute to load and get the jack closer to the TDC edge. Put some more shoring in between the top of the jack and the TDC edge (like a short 4x4) again I think you want to distribute the load. Carefully jack a little at a time and use the straight edge to monitor progress. Bet you can get it back where it needs to be pretty quick.

Hang in there it will come together. I know its tough having to wait, especially with everyone posting such great Q pics all the time, but I find when I get impatient is when I screw up.

Had the opportunity to buy a 250 traditional flow/trailor Nice! 600 bucks! I am very impatient, but I was tempted to scoop this up, since my build is slowing down! lol I'm sure it will be worth the wait, especially since I can say I built it.

Today went well, got the Angle iron cut, and welded. Started on the racks, and cut the hole for the FB.

That's a GINORMOUS cook chamber. Cant wait to see the finished product, but you have to take the pic from 90 feet to get the whole thing on the frame, LOL!!!

We could put acouple humans in there! lol Neon, not sure my skills are up for a Rotisserie! lol We will have 2 racks, 3'x4' (roughly) Contimplating on putting in a second level of racks!

Muscrat, I wish I had 90 feet! It takes up most of the room in the 1 car garage shop. lol

I think that's what this is! lol I have a question. We are planning on welding everything, then pressure wash everything inside and out to get any metal shavings, etc. Then starting a fire in the FB and Chamber. Does that sound ok???

ok, almost ready for the Thermometers. Gonna put 3 on the lid as close to the cooking surface as possible. Any suggestions on a good reliable, reasonably priced brand?
