Let me start with I LOVE THIS SITE!!!!! So much info and everyone seems to be nice! I am hopeing you guys/gals can help me out here......
Ok My 10 year old daughter and I have been entering small cook offs and competitions for some time now and doing fairly well.....we have 2 award winning sauces and a couple of trophies (we also compete in Chili Cookoffs where we Dominate the Hot Chili Catagory thats one of my specialties HOT) With our success in the small competitions, We would like to take our chances competeing against and with some Pros by entering some larger Competitions......My daughter, wife and I talked about and we all agree we want to try then came the big questions:
How do we start?
How much is it gonna cost?
Will a couple of UDS's (ugly drum smokers) be ok ?
How much meat do we bring to the competitions?
Basically what we need is a general How-To...or maybae BBQ Competition for Dummies....lol
