When I think pie I think ice cream and when I think Brethren Pie Throwdown I think Maple Bacon Bourbon Ice Cream. In fact I've been thinking about it all week but only had time to work on this weekend.
On to the ice cream.
The stuff

Now for the Pie
Time to get out Moms corer peeler thing a ma jig
Take my wifes already wonderful pie crust and add some sharp cheddar
the rest
I planned on baking this in the egg but I only had mesquite lump and my dough test told me that mesquite smoked pie would be no good
So on to the Weber
and done
The pie on its own was pretty darn good but with the maple bacon bourbon ice cream put it over the top.
