Grilling fish, vegetables and food that falls through the grate

TWhere did you get the cast iron? Are they grates from an old grill or something? That looks like a good idea too.
The top picture is a CI grate that was on a fire pit in the yard when we moved here in '87. I call it my magic grate because it fits my Genesis Silver A (though it sits on the flavorizers) and it is a perfect fit in a 22.5 kettle. I can even open the hinged portion of the grates. In addition to the close spacing, the bars are 3/4" tall which is a lot of CI. There were several grates and I'm guarding them closely.

The bottom picture is my Lodge Sportsman's Grill. It's not as big or massive as the other grate but still works well.
 
Lots of good suggestions here. Thanks. Does anyone know of a source for a good quality screen? The Frogmat is designed for indirect so the grill may be a bit hot for that.
