Still needs the final sandblasting and paint. And old gun safe, an air
compressor tank, and an old boat trailer has made for a whole bunch of fun. It was an interesting build, and cooks really well. I'll try to post some pictures of the build. I am impressed at how clean it burns, in one of these pictures during testing, it is smoothly running at 235.

Been waiting to see the pics on this one. It was worth the wait. Really nice job, how many shelf levels are there?

The fire box is the round on the right, It was an old air compressor tank that one of the guys had in the backyard using it as a grill.

Very cool! I have a boat trailer about that size...hmmmmm.....( wife will kill me)......hmmmm........(got enough on my to do list).................hmmmmm......thanks for the idea!

I am please with the smoke distribution, does really well. Generally have a ten degree heat difference from left to right. Here is a shot of a little untrimmed 6 ponder that I threw in for the first test run. The spareribs were part of the second test run.

Very cool! Faked me out with the fire box, thought that was the smoker and the rest a warming box. Bet that re-purposed gun safe make a great cooker (you did remove all the ammo, right)?

I was concerned that it was too thin, but actually works great.

Here are a few more pics of the build. On the fire box since it already had a door, I use that when I build the fire. I can load from the back in the torpedo hatch. I used the calculator to figure intake, stack etc.

Added an extra opening between the firebox and cabinet as a just in case that can be closed off.
