*Need some help* Northport Long Island VA hospital BBQ Cookout August 25

I got to work on a bunch of snotty kids....wish I could have been there. Sounds like a great time, a great cause and a great outcome!!! WIN WIN WIN!!!!

Did i hear a rumor that the burning plastic i smelled was a grill brush left in a pit somewhere ? :biggrin:

Paul, you are absolutely right.

It was like a competition, except that everyone went home a GC!

Oh, and the competiton turn in times don't run from 11 to 3!

I was most impressed with Joe, going through a very tough time in his life right now, yet he couldn't have been more excited and enthused to have us there. I got a kick out of him getting talked into doing one of the chickens.

yeah oops! but it was the smoking side, never got passed 250, lol

as for joe, he was a great help and asset! we had to twist his arm a bit but he did spotchcock 1 bird, i dont believe he enjoyed it but hey now he can say he did it!
