Well since I have the days off already, My wife and I have decided to throw our hat in the ring and give it a shot. My family and friends have said my stuff is good but now it shall be put to the test. This is my first offical contest so I am a little nervous but excited all at the same time.

As long as I do not come in dead last, I'll be happy.

I'll see you Brethren when you get here.

It's a really good, fun contest. This will be our third year there. We'll look forward to meeting you, and if there is anything Eric or I can help ya with there please let us know.

Its a good little contest. I have done it the last 2 years and I look forward to it next year. I might visit it this year.

Puppyboy - As Greg said if you need any help at all just let one of us know. The Meatheads will be there - should be on the back side of the skating rink. Oh and stop by for a margarita - it will be the debut for the new and improved version.

I will be there also, stop by for a cocktail or two. maybe share some bbq stories and we will all have a good time.

Ditto the rest of the sentiments - We'll be in our normal spot across from the 4H bldg. Hollar if you need anything. If you are able to navigate away from the margarita machine, We'll have something cold and loaded as well:twisted:

Dont believe anything Aaron, Jeff, or Cawby tell ya... We're completely and totally sane

Way to go Rob! Glad to hear your gonna compete. This is going to be our first comp too. Hey all you seasoned Brothers, do they have something like "Rookie Row" or something like that? How do you get assigned a spot? Just get there early enough to pick?

Todd- I bet if you have a spot that you wanted that is not already taken from a previous year's returning team, you could just email Corey Linton and ask for it... The Folks that run the Osage contest are great. They have always been very nice to us. Our first year, we had the water pump in the motor home crap out. A gal came by on a golf cart and asked if we had any problems - and she went and got the wrench we needed / silicone tape. Talk about above and beyond -- They are great. We didnt ask for it - she just showed back up with it, a very pleasant surprise.

Corey Linton is the organizer - email him and see if you can pick a spot... or you will get it in your packet.

Thanks Andy for the info.

you might have Corey place you OUTSIDE of the triangle between Wayne, Scott, and I.... Sounds like it might be the BAR-muda Triangle

Good luck at your first comp. Just make fun your first goal. If you can, everything else is extra and you'll have a blast.

The best thing you have going for you is a the group of Brethren that have already offered you a hand getting you started.

This sounds like a cool event with a lot of Brothers competing. I will make an attempt to show up Friday evening.

Email Corey and ask for our spot... we're going to Jefferson City this year. Nothing against Osage. We just decided that we wanted a change and had a sponsor in Jefferson City.

I am so stoked about doing this. I appreciate all the offered assistance. Fun is my main goal as is meeting as many Brethren as possible. I'll have a cooler at my location as well. Man I gotta pace my self so I don't turn in jerky.

Having fun has got to be the first goal in your first competition. I stepped into the ring last year and this group was very instrumental in making my first competition a success. Look through the site and you will find everything you need to have a successful competition.

First Goal - Have Fun
Second Goal - Meet those turn in times
Third Goal - Enjoy the experience

Good Luck!

Thanks Jeff for the info. I went to the site and I believe you were in F10 and MoKan was just across from you. I emailed Corey to see if he could make that work.

Good luck in Jeff city...

Rob, if you want you might try to get F11 if it's available, that way we would be next door to each other....

Well I'm really looking forward to being there to help Theresa with Todd and whoever else needs a hand.

And I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in person!

(Wow! Do I read right? Is there a Car Show going on at the same time? That'd be awesome 'cause I love cars too!)

Sounds like there will be a lot of Brethern there - I am looking forward to it. KC Jake has been in F11 the last few years but if you guys could get close to F5 (I think that is where we will be) it would be great and we could help you out in any way possible.
