This first year contest seems to be an ideal location....music, a responsive organizer....hoping that it gets a good turn out. 23 already on their site as confirmed...my application went out yesterday....looking forward to catching up with everyone.....

The Flying Burritos will be there Friday morning! Looking forward to a good time, and hopefully great results.

Good luck to the organizers, and thanks for another Indiana contest!

Does anyone know what we are going to be setting up on. Ashphalt? Going to be 95 Friday.
We need a Sledcast.

We are already here...so Nicole can see her clients....well, staying in the Holiday Inn Express (I will take any advantage I can). We will be setting up the camper Thursday night, and wondered if anyone was interested in going to the Casino and dinner. No, not huge into gambling, but, we dont get to hit any up in Cleveland....so, please consider at least the dinner invite for Thursday night.....

I went down there tonight....asphalt......it is interesting set up....no assigned, as you come, you are assigned....2 separate streets, about 2 blocks apart....
turn in is about a block and a half walk......so, be prepared....with crowds there for the music.....

Did anyone recieve a packet for this comp? I cant find directions either.

We cant make the casino and dinner but we will be ready to party later on thursday night.

it is on wall and something else, just put in the hooters in Jeffersonville....it is right down the street......
we are on public streets, where houses are.......we will be setting up the trailer tomorrow night.....just want to get there to have easy access to leave on Saturday....

Dale when you cross the I-65 bridge going north, stay in the RH lane. Get off at the first exit(Jeffersonville). At the bottom of the ramp, you will be looking at a McDonalds, turn rt and go to the next stop light. At that light TR and go about 3blks to the river. The event trailer will be right in frt of you.

Thanks Skinny! One more question. I need to know what time the awards ceremony starts. My Daughter is a schedule freak and must have an answer NOW.

Had a good time as a spectator. This is only the second comp I have attended. Only been to Ribfests before attending some comps this year.
The question I have is how do they pick the folks to vend the Q & why not let the competitors also sell if they wish? I was surprised there were only two vendors selling to begin with, but what I had from one lacked flavor & from other was chewy.

Andy, Clark County Health Dept is strict with over regulations,, They don't understand But the Q from many of teams would be safer than many vendors I've seen at events. The New Albany "Hoosier Daddy" Event in Oct is working out details with Health Dept and will try to be a Competitor Sell Event "IF" Health Dept will allow. We'll be posting this on the hoosierdaddybbq.com website

I highlighted the Brethren teams that I spotted. I'm sure I missed someone so please let me know!

Congrats to everyone!
