wow. in 'Merica if one is good, then 8 must be way better. I love the look of the place and them smokers, wow, what a collection. I don't have any plans to go to Charlotte, but, I may have to make some. They have some pretty good BBQ as it is. At least I remember eating some great Q while there.

Great pictures and thanks for the heads up

I wonder why the massive hood systems in the smokehouse? Local regulations?

I miss my days, growing up in the Queen City. This place looks ridiculously dangerous, and I'm glad it wasn't around before I graduated from high school.

The fact that they've got TX style pits plus Lexington style pits.... makes my heart smile and my stomach GROWL.

I'd love to hear from other Brethren who pay this place a visit in coming months. It looks like he's trying to cover a wide variety of the market, so I'm concerned... but, if he does this right, I see serious deliciousness and authenticity (God, I hate that word sometimes) in his cooking.

It's definitely ba good place to live for the NC/SC bbq trail. I just wish some more authentic places were still around. As far as the big smoke vents, I'm not sure. However, this is the same city that couldn't decide on what bathroom people should use...soooo

The entire set-up is pretty impressive. I wouldn't hesitate about stopping in for a bite.

Cool concept, the craft bbq market is stiff here in Charlotte, especially pork. Well see if his Texas style can be successful in a city with alot of young people who don't know much about Texas BBQ.

They said the same thing about Lewis BBQ when he went to open in Charleston. He just slayed them.

Well if he serves brisket like what is pictured. He might lose his ass real quick. Looks like they’re slicing with the grain if you ask me.

Maybe it's a stock photo?

Either way, based on the grain I see on the unsliced piece of flat, it looks like they're slicing across the grain but not exactly perpendicular to it. More like at 45* to the grain (instead of 90*).
