Hello Brethren,
Just bought a Weber 22.5 OTS DD kettle. The ash arms seem to be seized up. Clearly the previous owner was not a Weber fan. Is there a non petroleum based way to free this up without breaking it? Want to give it to my gasser bro to start his conversion.
Thanks!

I would think if you just used cooking oil on it it would probably loosen it up.

not sure on the best method, so i cant offer any advice. i will say this, dont get too caught up on that one kettle. they are on craigslist all the time.

just any penetrant if its rust. if its goo then any strong kitchen cleaner. many times its just bad and needs to be cut off. use some patiance though.
