A box arrived today and it was too small to be the raffle prize.

So I popped it open and it was a present from the in-laws, who must be clairvoyant.

Jennifer said that I must be the happiest man on the planet, to which I told her "I already was before this box arrived".

Guess I gotta stop by RD to "test" my presents, huh?

No, her parents did.

We went to visit him last year. He was serving "beef" for dinner. He opens the refrigerator and in it is.......

The point end of a brisket from Kreuz.....I'm ballparking about 7-9 pounds. All you do is heat/finish and eat.

Apparently, I'm not good at hiding my emotions because he says, "I take it that you approve". I grab Jennifer, who also stares at the beautiful hunk of meat (the brisket, not me). Our boy looks at it and says, "When's dinner and why are you two drooling over it?"

We explain to him and her dad about Kreuz and Lockhart, Texas and smoking food. I show her dad pics of my meager assortment of toys, and he sees the UDS and wants to make one so he can play. He might even join the Brethren!

And now he sends me a cool present!! Do I have a good father-in-law or what?
