Congrats, Scottie and Motley Que! And, of course, to all who heard their name called! We just got home. Nice weekend but I'm tired.
 
CONGRATS Scottie and congrats to my boys Shigs. To all who got a call, way to go against a great field. wish i could have been there.
 
Congrats Scottie and all the rest of the Brethren that got calls. Ron L, nice to see you again. Sorry I didn't stay and chat, I was on a whirlwind tour, then back home for work. Would have loved to see your set-up.
 
Great showing by the Brethren. Congratulations to Scottie and Motley Que Crew. Also great showing by Ford, Shigs, and Smokin' Scotsmen. Way to go guys! Congratulations to all who walked.

I think Scottie and Motley Que Crew did a heck of a good job cooking. And they were super consistent in all 4 meats. In talking with Merl and Carol after they said while entering scores that they thought I had it locked up until they saw the brisket scores. Little did they know how bad my brisket would be. But I did when I went to slice it.

Anybody know a good brisket cook that's looking to join a team????? That's 3 times in the last 5 weeks brisket has killed me with no scores above 142 and 3 - 3rd place overall finishes.
 
The weather held off which helped alot and it was nice to wander around and visit and put some faces with some names. Congratulations to all who participated and to those who walked the walk.

Perhaps you should go back to Mike for a prime brisket, Ford. The 12 pounder he procured for us for Lowell was a thing of beauty. As we only cook one or two contests a year we didn't do our homework as well as we could have; after consulting my laminated notes at our team meeting after the contest we (I'm taking the blame) realized that we forgot a couple of important details....

Nice job everyone!
