Are you asking if the mid section on one is taller than the other?
The 22" is huge.
I really don't see myself ever needing the 22 until another 5 or 10 years when I have a family. For now, my cooks don't require that much space. If it were just the extra cost out the door, I might do it, but then I factor inn all the extra fuel cost over the years, and the combination just don't make sense.
Plus, I know that one of the few weaknesses of the 18 is the inability to do as many ribs, but I'm not really a huge rib guy. I like them now and then, but I prefer brisket and such.
Part of the reason I was asking about the length is b/c I was thinking I could hang meats in the 18.5 off the grate with meat hooks like in the pbc and have the best of both worlds. But, it might turn out to be more trouble than its worth.
